“Grief is an initiation, an apprenticeship in what it means to be human. It shapes our capacity for compassion and loving-kindness.” – Francis Weller
We welcome you to a space where you can feel safe, cared for, supported and truly seen. What holds us together is our shared commitment to create a space filled with compassion, trust and understanding.
We will gather on Saturday afternoon at Coed Festival, entering a space held with care, warmth, and attention. Through gentle practices and shared time, we will explore the layers of grief; our own, and those we carry collectively.
You are welcome to come as you are, with whatever you carry. Although we will have cushions to sit on, please bring your own or a sheepskin for personal use if that helps.
A quiet resting space will also be offered on Sunday for 90 minutes, for those who wish to take a longer pause after the gathering.
Rohan
Rohan is a grief-tender, facilitator, guide, and the founder of Shining Darkness – a sanctuary for soul work and renewal. His approach is shaped by initiations within the Bwiti tradition in Gabon and grief apprenticeships—first with Francis Weller and later with Sophy Banks.
Through ritual, invocation and gentle facilitation, Rohan holds space for others to experience trust, healing and soul remembrance.
Selena
Selena is the Spiritual and Anticipatory Care Lead at St Catherine’s Hospice. She brings a gentle presence to our gatherings, helping others feel supported as they explore their feelings and experiences.
“I’ve learned that even in the hardest times, there is beauty in the connections we make with others. It’s a reminder that we are never truly alone.”
