Amy Naylor is a soulful songwriter and handpan artist who blends modern mantras with heart-centered melodies and folk songs. Amy’s music and concerts are more than a performance – they’re an invitation to co-create, and to celebrate the voice as a powerful tool for healing and self-expression.
With an open heart and a playful spirit, Amy encourages connection through sound, turning every concert into a shared experience of love, rhythm, and authentic voice. Her workshops and teachings inspire others to embrace their unique musical journey, whether through singing, handpan, or song creation.
As a passionate educator and global performer, Amy has touched thousands through her online presence, offering free handpan education and guiding deep, transformative experiences.
The handpan (a steel drum inspired instrument, played gently with the hands) was first created in Switzerland in the year 2000, and is still growing as an art form. Playing since 2014, Amy is one of the world’s leading artists and teachers in the handpan community and travels globally to teach and perform.
Before discovering the instrument, Amy trained as a Taiko (Japanese style drums) player and educator, and traveled the world to study. At the same time, she had already made her way into the folk scene as a young singer songwriter, exploring themes around climate justice, politics and identity. She released albums “A Brave Thing” and “Slacktavist” in her late teens and early 20s, before moving on to embrace these topics with a softer approach through handpan and community singing.
